SEA HUNTER 11-30 STRIPER REPORT

The fishing has been staying about the same. Many areas of stripers with lots of shorts, big blues and a occasional keeper and slot fish mixed in. We have been using jigs and shads.Today the jigs worked better than the shads but everyday has been different. We have all the tackle on the boat you will need to catch fish, so if you don't have a large assortment of tackle don't worry we have it all on the boat. We will be back at it again tomorrow. See you then, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 11-29 STRIPER REPORT

Today started like the past couple days, many areas of fish bit they didn't stay hungry long. We had one good wack at them getting a keeper a couple bonus fish some shorts and big blues. we found another area with bunker and big fish splashing on top but we only managed one keeper out of that.Next we headed down the beach and caught some big blues and one striper. The one striper we did catch there had five others follow it up to the boat.We played with the blues for a little while then went searching for some more stripers.we found them but they were all shorts. All in all I cant say a good day but I cant say bad either. we were into fish all day but not enough keeper stripers caught. There is plenty of bait around bunker and also herring. It looks like we will be fishing for at least a couple more weeks.tomorrow looks like another nice day, See you then, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER ANOTHER WINDY DAY STRIPER REPORT

I had high hopes for today. We rounded sandy hook and I could see the birds everywhere. The one bad thing is the fish were wild and very hard to catch. I hit area after area trying to find the ones that would bite good. We caught some fish every stop but by it wasn't good fishing.I decided to take a look in the area that we caught our bigger fish on Saturday. It was a little bit of a ride but i figured it was worth a shot. I think it was the only area that did not have any bird life working over stripers. So we moved on and found a few more areas of fish but the results were almost the same, see many but catch a few. We had one good drift with lots of shorts caught, but no keepers. We ended up with only one fish to take home. It was a pretty frustrating day. Tomorrow there will be a change in the wind and hopefully a change in the fishing. One thing for sure there are plenty of fish around. We will be back at it tomorrow, Thanks for checking in, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 11-26 WINDY DAY STRIPER REPORT

Under the circumstances with a hard NW wind against the tide all day, we were kinda restricted where we could fish.I found some fish where you didn't have to hold on to the rail with one hand and try to fish. We made the best of it finding a few keepers some big blues and short stripers. Tomorrow looks like the same windy conditions, We will do our best like we always do. See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 11-25 STRIPER REPORT

Loads of bird life over Stripers today. Some areas the fish were hard to catch. We kept hitting different areas till we found ones that would bite. Ill give today a passable grade only because I would have liked to see more keepers. We caught lots of shorts and big blues and a couple handfuls of keepers. On another note just to let everyone know we have a bar across the entrance to the boat that says DO NOT BOARD UNTIL CREW ARRIVES. It is there for a reason. If you get there super early before anyone arrives just wait. Especially this time of year sometimes the deck is icy and the boat is far from the dock and we don't want you to fall in the water or fall getting on the boat. I put that sign up for a reason not because I had nothing better to do and decided to make one.I am writing this because there was one guy today who ignored it. Back to the fishing, there seems to be lots of fish around in different areas and we stll have some good fishing ahead of us. See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 11-21 STRIPER REPORT. A SLOW START BUT A GOOD FINISH!!!!!!!

Today started like yesterday birds everywhere, The fish finder was lit up but we could only manage a few keepers some shorts and  some big blues. It was not looking good. Just when it looked like all hope was lost, all hell broke loose, the birds and fish were going crazy. We had two good shots at some nice big keepers then they vanished. But those two drifts made the day! The pool winner was 25lbs.Here are some pics of some of today's catch. And yes its time for a new camera.
See you soon, Capt. Rob
