SEA HUNTER SHUTTING DOWN FOR THE WINTER.

Looking at the long range forecast I decided to just pack it in for the winter. I want to thank everyone who fished with us. I hope you enjoyed the season. The spring Striper run was disappointing this year. The summer Fluke season was pretty normal. We caught many and throw lots back. I was happy with the fall Striper fishing. We caught lots of fish! Have a great Holiday Season and a safe winter. We will start up again in the spring for the Stripers, either late March or early April. If you would like to buy a gift Certificate for someone you can give me a call 732-291-4468 and I can get one out to you. Thanks again from Capt Rob and the crew of the Sea Hunter.

SEA HUNTER 12-4 STRIPER REPORT

Today was do or die. Well we are not dead yet! Only a handful of brave souls who had a little faith that it wasn't over yet showed up today. We had a very slow start and just when everything looked like it was going to be our last trip. There they were and right were they should be this time of year. They finally found the massive amount of bait I have been running over for the past week and they were hungry and close to home. Nothing big the biggest was 27 inches but thats the way it usually is this time of year.Everyone took home a bonus fish and we threw back lots of Stripers

SEA HUNTER 12-2 STRIPER REPORT

Frustrating day today. No lack of bird life. It actually looked good at times. The fish were swirling at times but they would not stay put they were very wild. They would come up for 30 seconds and disappear. I was running around like a nut from patch to patch. We landed two Stripers and lost a couple. I was going to give it up for the year but at the end of the day they showed up between the channels. There was a ton of birds good readings and lots of bait.We couldn't catch em but they were there. I am going to give it one more shot on Sunday, It will be do or die. If we catch I will keep fishing and if we don't I will close up shop till Spring. Tomorrow is going to blow a Gale NW winds with gusts to 35 so we will stay dockside. Sundays weather looks good. Thanks for checking in, Capt. Rob
