SEA HUNTER HALF DAY FLUKE REPORT 8-23-08

Only 15 days left to the end of the Fluke season. Plenty of action when conditions are good. The Fluke are in the channels getting ready to go offshore. Lots of fish just under 18 inchers getting thrown back unfortunately. Cliff Roberts caught our biggest Fluke so far this year on our afternoon trip 13 lbs on the nose weighed in at Atlantic Highlands Bait and Tackle. Cliff also had a 6.5 lber on the morning trip. Matt Reis did have our biggest Fluke 12.5lbs weighed in at T&A Tackle till today.

Only 23 days left till the Fluke season is over. We had some very good trips this past week and a few that were not very productive. Its not easy to get two trips a day were the conditions are favorable for drifting. Its like trying to win a double header everyday. When you get a chance to go fishing just go because you never know. Either you can read about the good days or you can be on board and live them. One thing is for sure you wont catch them at home.

Very good fishing today. Fishing the channels as long as the conditions are favorable. Lots of nice Fluke hitting the deck. Time is running out. The fluke season will be closed September 8th. It should be good fishing to the end of the season as the Fluke will start to gather up and feed before heading offshore.
