SEA HUNTER THURSDAY STRIPER TRIP ??????????????

What a shocker only two Striper fishermen showed up today. The worst part is my buddy Joe from the charter boat Little Hawk called me at 7:10 this morning, and said Come on The Stripers are all over the top eating Jigs and Shads  That's just par for the course the way this season has started. Tomorrow and Saturdays trips are cancelled due to NW winds gusts to 45 on Friday and gusts to 35 on Saturday. Sunday looks good so get ready hopefully its the start for the jig and bait bite, I'm tired of hearing these great reports the one thing  they don't mention is they are trolling. See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 4-27 STRIPER REPORT THERE IS HOPE !!!!!!!!!

We had a much better day today, or should I say morning. We picked up 4 keepers and a descent amount of shorts. Once the tide died so did the bite. But let me tell you it felt good to see those keeper Stripers getting netted. We will be fishing tomorrow but Friday is a blow out for sure.

See you tomorrow, Capt. Rob

This has been one of the hardest starts to a spring striper season that I can remember. we are catching some shorts but its not good fishing. I keep hoping every trip that this is the day they are going to eat. I have never seen so many fish an The charter boats that are trolling are catching some fish but most days are not even that good. We have a full moon tonight and I hope and prey that things get going next week. We will keep trying that's all I can do. See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 4-20 STRIPER REPORT

It took a little while to get them going today but we picked at the shorts but could not land a 28 incher today. And for the record that new circle hook law is a joke. We miss more then we catch on them and they swallow the hook just as often as they did on a regular hook. Do yourself a favor if you have Netflix watch SEASPIRICY it will open your eyes to how, Its all about the almighty dollar!   We are of for the next couple days. Here are a few pics . We will see you in a couple days,  Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 4-19 STRIPERS !!!!

We finally saw a improvement today. It felt like we were actually fishing. We had good action with the shorts 20-26 inches and managed a few nice keepers. Lets hope its the start of good things to come. Tomorrow is going to be gorgeous and then the weather is going to turn windy  for at least two days.

See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 4-18 STRIPER REPORT

Frustrating is the best way to describe the fishing. for over a week now we have been seeing lots of stripers on the fish finder but they just wont eat. The charter boats trolling catch some but that's not even that good. All you hear on the radio is they are piled up but we cant catch them. We did get one nice keeper today and a handful of shorts but for what i see we should be crushing them. It could be a early spawn but who can say for sure. we will be back out there tomorrow and hope for the spring run to really get going. See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER WEDNESDAY 4-14 COUCH REPORT

A beautiful day and no people. we only had 4 customers today and between the 4 boats trying there was only enough for one boat to make a days pay.. We will not be fishing until the weekend due to weather. See you then, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER TUESDAY 4-13 STRIPER REPORT

Well we saw a little improvement today. Super readings all day. On normal days with those readings it would be fantastic fishing. The bastards just wouldn't bite. I left the area to try another area at the end of the day very good readings again we ended up   boating 6 shorts 21 to 26 inches and lost as many. We will be back at it again tomorrow. The way it looks we will be off Thursday and Friday due to weather,

 See you tomorrow, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER FIRST STRIPER TRIP FRIDAY 4/9 2021REPORT

Not the way I wanted to start the season off. We started off with the throwing the shads and tsunamis, with very good  readings, the first drift one on and one in the boat and that was it. Still good readings in a few areas  so we tried bait, but N.G. they would not eat. We will be back at it tomorrow and hopefully have better results. Ill see you soon, Capt. Rob

Mike with the only Striper  Congratulations!

SEA HUNTER READY TO GO !!!!!!!!!!

We will be starting off our spring striper season this Friday April 9th. We have a new schedule this spring and also for the fall Stripers. We will depart at 7:00 am and return at 2:00 pm. From what i hear some stripers have arrived. We will either be throwing shads or using bait. Either way if your bringing your own rod and reel make sure you can cast it. For the beginner a spinning reel is recommended for easy casting. If you do not have one no problem we rent them onboard. Looking foreword to this spring as last year we were not allowed to fish for the spring stripers due to conditions hat were out of our hands. See everyone soon, Capt. Rob
