SEA HUNTER BLUEFISH WEEKEND REPORT

We had boy scout troop 86 out on Saturday and jigged a nice bunch of Blues and even some nice porgies. Sunday there were lots of Blues in a few areas but they were more difficult to catch they were all over the top breaking around the boat at times but we only picked at them. we will be back at it over the weekend hopefully we start seeing some Stripers mixed in soon.

GOOD TO BE FISHING AND CATCHING AGAIN!!!!!!!

A little disappointed in Saturday as our first Bluefish trip only produced three people. I cant go out with three. Today we managed ten people and they were rewarded with plenty of room and plenty of Blues. It was pretty much drop and reel fishing the birds were working hard on the scraps the blues were leaving behind and the fish finder was lit up all the time. Everyone left tired and happy. No stripers today it was all blues but this next storm may change that. The blues were anywhere from 2 to 5 lbs. We have a charter next Saturday but Sunday we are open. I am only going to do weekends till the Stripers start to show and then it will be seven days a week Stripers and Blues. See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER JIGGING BLUES SATURDAY AND SUNDAYS ONLY

Sorry I have no web page for Blues thats why the home page says Stripers 7 days a week. A good amount of Blues showed up in our bay the past couple weeks feeding on the schools of peanut bunker. Most of the fish are 3-4 lbs We will be targeting them on weekend only until  some stripers star to show then we will start our 7 day a week schedule. The jigging blues trips are from 7:30 am till 2:30 pm
See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER FINAL 2017 FLUKE REPORT STARTING SATURDAY THE 16th WE WILL BE JIGGING BLUES

Well the Fluke season is over. The season started later then usual and was shut down earlier then usual. I would have to say this was the worst Fluke season I have  ever endured. It seemed like the majority of Fluke stayed  in the ocean, just a little to far for the half day trips. We did manage some good days but most were a a struggle. I had been seeing lots of Blues in our back bay the past week in the 2-4 lb class. We will concentrate on those for the next couple weeks. We will only be fishing weekends on a 3/4 day schedule for the Blues 7;30 till 2;30. We will start next weekend for the Blues Saturday the 16th. We will fish Saturday and Sundays until we start catching some stripers then we will fish 7 days a week. Thanks to everyone who fished with us this Fluke season. We gave it our best every day.
See you soon, Capt. Rob
