Unfortunately it looks like our season has come to a end. I was hoping to get one last shot at the Stripers but the weather is not going to let it happen. I would like to thank everyone who fished with us, and i hope you had a great time and caught plenty of fish. Have a safe winter and we will see you in the spring. We will start up again in April for the Stripers.
Thanks again and Happy Holidays,
From Captain Rob and the Crew of the SEA HUNTER

SEA HUNTER STRIPER REPORT 12-18
I was very pleasantly surprised today by the amount of Stripers caught . On the second drift of the day it was just one after the other with a nice long drift, I thought i was dragging the fish with me but when the drift ended and i was going back for another drift i could see by the fish finder it was just a big spread of fish i was going over. The pics below are the fish finder on different drifts and it was like that sometimes 15 to 20 minuets. The only bad part was out of the easy 400 fish caught only one was a keeper. there were a few that were close but not 28 inches. At 12:00 with the bite still on but I decided to put the eels on and try to get some more keepers in the boat. I hit the areas that we have been catching the big fish earlier in the week. unfortunately it didn't go as planned, not even one on the eels. You don't know if you don't try. Anyway a very good day action wise most caught at least 30 short Stripers. I will try to keep going at least till next weekend Weather permitting. The next couple days are shot I will post and let you know the next day we will be fishing.

SEA HUNTER 12-15 BIG BASS
Well, the few who made it down today experienced some good Striper fishing with big fish. Our days are numbered now so when the weather looks good you have to take advantage of it. We had just enough people to get out today. A good thing a couple people who were out yesterday came back again today or we would not have not made it. We will not be fishing Wed. or Thurs due to weather but hope to be fishing on Friday, weather permitting. I will keep you posted.

SEA HUNTER STRIPER REPORT 12-14
The day started great no bird life but the fish finder lit up, first drift was excellent two keepers and lots of shorts. I went back to try and find them but they were on the move we found them a few more times but the current was ripping and they were hard to stay on and we only picked, then they vanished. I had some eels left that Ive had for over a month so i decided to give them a try and they worked, we put some more keepers in the boat till the current died. The weather looks good tomorrow then its going downhill for a few days.

SEA HUNTERER STRIPER REPORT 12-13
Not as good today with the Stripers. Everyone caught some but they were hard to catch. You could see the fish swirling and the marks on the fish finder were good at times but we only picked at them. Doug Heath from Navesink NJ was the exception today He caught about 20 and three were keepers. I'm having trouble getting the pics to upload, not that there is many. We only had 5 keepers today. The weather the last couple hours turned snotty we hit the dock at 2:00 today. We will see what tomorrow brings.

SEA HUNTER STRIPER REPORT MONDAY 12-7
No slaughter but a good day. We used the diamond jigs all day. The birds came up a few times but not for long, I had to rely on the fish finder most of the day. Many shorts from 14 to 27 inches and quite a few heart breakers( Stripers that just fell a little short) We did manage to throw some 28 to 32 inch Stripers in the boat, and yes still a few big Blues around but not many. Tomorrow the weather looks good but Wed. and Thurs may not be.

SEA HUNTER 12-5 DIDNT FISH TODAY AND WONT FISH TOMORROW BUT WILL RESUME ON MONDAY
A lack of participation kept us dockside today, only a few anglers showed up. I had talked to a couple buddies who were out and we didn't miss much. A nasty day out there. I have been waiting for the latest marine forecast to make my decision about tomorrow. One is telling me North West with gusts to 35 The other says 20 to 25 NW. Either way it will not be pleasurable after today and tonight's wave build up so we will not be fishing tomorrow but will resume on Monday.

SEA HUNTER STRIPER REPORT 12-4
Not much bird life today. I had to work the fish finder all day. we picked most of the day the first and last hour were slow but between that was OK to good. a few guys managed 25 to 30 Stripers most being 24 to 27 inches but there were keepers caught most of the drifts. No complaints, We will be back at it again tomorrow.

SEA HUNTER STRIPER REPORT 12-1
Getting better. We had bird life all day today. The Stripers were defiantly spooky today, very boat shy. We had a few good stops on them but most were only a few fish. Only a few Blues today. Not many keepers, but everyone caught Stripers. Ill be back at it again tomorrow. Thursday doesn't look good weather wise, so don't plan on a Thursday trip.
