SEA HUNTER 10-17 REPORT

Not many people around again today. I cant blame them with the lack of good Striper reports going around.Yesterday Capt. Ron from the Fishermen gave me some people as he didn't have enough to get out. Today I returned the favor He had 6 people and I had 5 so I gave him my 5 people. Five or six people doesn't even cover expenses with these Party boats so its ridiculous to go out and loose money. If its a beautiful day and I know the fish are biting I will go out with a handful of people and wet a line myself. But when the wind is honking and the fishing is not good it doesn't make any sense. I have done it before, more then once and kicked myself in the ass for doing it. As you get older you get a little smarter. From what I heard today from a few guys who were out the Striper fishing was no good. There were a few fish caught at first light on bait but that was it, A few guys caught some trolling but it was not good. Tomorrows weather looks the same as today. I for one am going to take the day off and stay home and watch football and wait till Monday till I give it another shot. The Striper fishing usually starts getting better by the end of this week. In the past few years its been anywhere between Oct 17th and 25th.Its gonna happen but I don't think it will be tomorrow. You guys who know me and read my reports know I tell it how it is.
