SEA HUNTER HAPPY HALLOWEEN STRIPER REPORT

We had 12 people and fell two short of the boat limit plus we had some shorts. All in all another good day! tomorrows weather looks great. It looks like Friday will be rainy and very windy. Ill see you tomorrow or over the weekend, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-30 STRIPER REPORT!!

We did our first little bit of Jigging today. There was one very small area of birds, we stayed with them for a good hour and had one keeper and about fifteen shorts. It wasn't much but it was good to see. We headed up north to the areas we have been fishing, only to find a couple with lots of drifts. About 11:30 I decided to go check out a spot close to home. I'm glad I did, we had the boated limited in a few drifts and headed home. Most of the season so far has been hit or miss with only a few trips that I would call good, and today was one of them. You can read the report or live it. Everyday is different you never know when the Stripers are going to turn on or where they will be.. One thing for sure your not going to catch them while reading my report ,or  sitting on the couch.
The pool winner went 22 lbs. We will try again tomorrow, See you soon Capt.  Rob

SEA HUNTER SUNDAY 10-28 STRIPER REPORT

Our first drift today, we boated a keeper and lost another at the boat and caught a 27 incher. I thought it was gonna be the start of good things to come. Well it wasn't so we bounced around looking in different areas ,finally at the end of the day we found a few more fish. We ended up boating Four keepers, lost that one earlier at the boat and a couple shorts. Sorry  to those who had a keeper today and Thursday but the memory card we used for those trips is not  letting me put the photos on the computer. Still no fish to catch on jigs yet. I figured as much today after that Nor'easter on Saturday the water was very churned up and dirty. I am going to cancel tomorrow Monday 10-29 as they are predicting West  winds with gusts to 30 and the conditions will not be good. If we didn't have all the dirty water our chances would be good for some bird life to show and fish to jig. We will be at it again on Tuesday. Hope to see you Capt. Rob
I was just sent this photo of Erica Fons from today it was taken on her sons phone. They came from Wisconsin to catch a Striper.   Thanks for sending the pic.

SEA HUNTER FRIDAY 10-26 STRIPER REPORT

Well if we look on the Brightside the fishing was better today then yesterday. We boated two keepers today the biggest being 17 lbs and we released one that was 26 inches. we were in NY waters and they must be 28 inches or bigger. NY does not have a slot size like NJ. We have a big storm coming tonight into Saturday and that will stir things up, hopefully for the better. We will not be fishing Saturday but Sunday looks much better. Hopefully we can get things rolling.
See you Sunday, Capt. Rob

Sea Hunter Tuesday 10-23 Striper report

Today was better then yesterday. Another very light crowed.  I thought with the nice forecast there would be a few people around, but that was not the case.We started out pretty good then the tide died. We went searching and found a few more . Looking at tomorrows wind forecast, and the areas that are holding a few fish, the conditions are not going to be good. So we will cancel tomorrow Wednesday the 24th and pick it back up on Thursday and Friday. See you then. Capt. Rob

MONDAY 7-22 STRIPER REPORT

We headed right back to where we caught them on Friday. We got there on slack water and waited for current to start running. We waited and waited but it never got going. I couldn't wait any longer , I had to get out of there. I hit up another spot but the same thing a very slow current. we ended up boating a few nice fish there and lost a couple but that was it. I'm going to start tomorrow where I ended up today and go from there. The weather looks good tomorrow hopefully we get them. And thanks to those who came today, I wont be eating Striper But at least I can go to Sizzlers.
See you soon, Capt.. Rob

ATTENTION ALL INTERNET FISHERMEN IT'S STRIPER TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a shame the first nice day that we could get out all week, and being the only Striper boat on the jersey coast I figured we would get at least enough people to cover expenses. Truthfully, I was even hoping for a little left over so I could get Burger King for dinner, but unfortunately this was not the case. Only a handful of fishermen showed up to give the Stripers a shot, but I knew with the cold temps all week and the full moon approaching we had a good shot to put some fish in the boat and put up a good report. So I went out with a few people, and it paid off! We kept what we were allowed and threw back even more than we kept. The fish were all nice size with the smallest being 17 lbs and the biggest 28 lbs, and as a result we threw back a bunch of beauties. Now with the weekend approaching and fish to be caught the weather report is showing gale force winds for Saturday and Sunday. So the conditions will not be favorable for the fishing nor the fishermen. That means if you want to give the Stripers a shot Monday will be your next chance. No Burger King tonight, but I'm going to have a nice Striper dinner lol. See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-14

We did a Porgy charter on Saturday and then went for the Stripers on Sunday. We tried up in NY harbor were we saw a few dish caught but we couldn't land any. Looking at the winds forecasted this week our next attempt will be on Friday. The cool temps this week should get  things moving in the right direction. See you then. Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER Striper schedule update

We are going to give the Stripers a shot this Friday and Sunday. We are chartered on Saturday. If we catch some we will start fishing daily. We will be using eels for bait and probably be fishing some strong currents. If you plan on coming bring a rod for the bait fishing and also something lighter that you can cast, just in case. If you don't have it we do. See you soon, Capt. Rob
