SEA HUNTER 4-21 REPORT

We made a few drops today and caught fish on everyone of them but the ones we hooked were mostly shorts and we couldn't seem to get the fish to take hold . We had lots of bites and swings and misses figuring they were mostly small fish I picked up anchor and kept looking for bigger and better but it seemed to be the same on every drop It was. one of those days were we maybe should have stayed in one spot and weeded through the shorts but I didn't have the patience today and I wanted all big ones. Tomorrow I have a little different strategy in mind. The weather is going to be nice so come down. and sorry about the late report I just got in. Tomorrows report will also be a little late. Wednesday and Thursdays winds look a little strong but I will update tomorrow night on that.

SEA HUNTER 4-19 ITS STRIPER TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We took our lumps so far this year with the cold water and no fish. All that's behind us, everything is falling into place now. The water is warming the bait is here and so are the Stripers. Cliff was the man today getting the first keeper on the boat for 2014 and he didn't stop there he later landed a 25 lb fish.   Here are some pics.
Hopefully I will see you now that the bite is on, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER GOOD FRIDAY STRIPERS

Get ready!!  Everything is getting rite now. A load of bait moved in and yes I saw fish on the finder today and we did catch some Stripers. We had all shorts today but it was nice to see some fish. There were some keepers caught among the shorts in the fleet today but we didn't hook into any . The fish are  a little sluggish they just tapping at the baits and they were hard to hook but they are finally here. I expect it to really get going any day now. Tomorrows weather looks very nice so if your don't have yard work to do it is definitely worth a shot to come down. We will not be fishing Easter Sunday but we will fish every day after that.

SEA HUNTER IS FISHING TOMORROW GOOD FRIDAY!!

With the winds blowing the past few days nobody's been out so I really don't know what to expect tomorrow. I'm hoping that it will be the start of a good spring Striper run! We will be fishing on Friday and Saturday and will not be fishing on Easter Sunday.

SEA HUNTER 4-13 STRIPERS ON THE WAY BUT NOT READY YET

I heard of a keeper caught today and a couple shorts. I also heard from a few captains that they saw Stripers swimming on top but they are just not ready to eat. There are no fish readings on the bottom everything seems to be staying up and catching some warmer water near the surface water temp on top is anywhere from 48 to 55 on the outgoing tide but it must be colder near the bottom and its keeping the Stripers from settling down. Most bass I hear caught are in very shallow water. Instead of going out and beating my head against the wall tomorrow and looking at the extended weather I'm going to stay dockside till Friday April 18th and then resume fishing daily. If there is any change I will let you know. Thanks for checking in and I will see you very soon.
