As I figured with the wind report for today we wouldn't get out. For the eight party boats in the harbor I think 12 people showed up and most of them wanted Porgies and sea bass. The rest of the week looks good so come on down, We will be going out!!!!.
See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-27 STRIPER REPORT
We made it out yesterday and today. Yesterday was just a crappy day windy rainy and nasty. I couldn't fish any of my spots. We called it a early day. Today was a different story it was a gorgeous day. The only downfall there was no current all day we drifted but very slow. We managed one Striper and one Blue and lost a few fish. The good news is the trollers were catching some fish today. There are fish starting to show but we need the right conditions to cover the ground. We are chartered tomorrow for bottom fish, sea bass and porgies. Sunday and Monday don't look good. Sunday is heavy rain and wind and Monday they are calling for lots of wind. Tuesday will be our next Striper trip.Lets hope we have a good Halloween trip. See you then, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-23 STRIPER REPORT
We only had a few people show today for the Stripers but it was such a nice day I told the guys I would take them out till the end of the tide as we had good conditions with the incoming tide and the south wind. We caught two nice Stripers and lost one ,the biggest being 28 lbs .We lost the tide around 11:00 but fished till 11:30 and headed home. Not hot fishing yet but there are a few around.I was looking in last years book and the fishing was about the same this time last year. It was October 25th when we started to see more consistent fishing. Hopefully it will start getting better after this cold front comes through. Only time will tell. We will not be fishing Tuesday or Wednesday this week but will be fishing open boat Thursday and Friday. We have our last charter of the season on Saturday October 28th and then its open boat seven days a week (weather permitting) till the end of the Striper season.

SEA HUNTER 10-22 STRIPER REPORT
It ain't easy! We started out the day looking for fish to jig as using the bait has not been working out this week, and the conditions weren't right. We saw plenty of birds and fish jumping in various areas, but unfortunately they were all Albacore. Truthfully, I have never seen so many Albacore in all my years of fishing. The only bad thing is we couldn't catch any of them. After making a few drifts in different areas, and only catching one, I decided to take a look down the beach. There were lots of bunker, but only a Humpback whale was eating them. No Blues and no Stripers in sight, or on the fish finder. I went to the eel bait as the conditions were getting favorable in the channels for the Stripers and as a result we did manage one Striper and one small Blue, but that was it.
Unfortunately, we can't always find the fish we want, but that's why they call it fishing and not catching. Nobody wants to catch fish more than me. I am on both the phone and radio contacting other captains in different areas to see what's going on. If there is nothing going on to the north, south, or east I'll look to the west to try to find something. With this being said we could potentially do a lot of riding around in search of the fish. Some days we know right where the fish are when we leave the dock, and others we have to look for them. That is why I say it ain't easy!
It's hard to please everyone especially in this business as the fish don't always cooperate, but I give it a 110% every trip because I want you all to enjoy yourselves. It's still early in the season and hit or miss for the Stripers. Hopefully, the fishing will get consistent soon.
Thanks for checking in, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-15 IT WAS NOT LIKE YESTERDAY
A slow day today. Lots of boats and horrible conditions definitely didn't help.It seemed like we waited for ever for the current to start running today and when it did finally start there wasn't much to be had.I saw fish on the finder but they wouldn't eat. We ended up with a few Stripers and some big Blues. We were suppose to start fishing daily but looking at the wind for the next two days it doesn't look favorable for the area we are fishing. We will wait till Wednesday 10-18 to kick things off and start our 7 day a week schedule
See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-8 REPORT
It took some looking to find the Blues today. We saw plenty of Albacore around early in the day but they were a little tough to catch. Finally found some Blues it was a little slow to start but by days end they were biting very good. The fish were a little bigger. The average was 4 lbs but there were some bigger fish mixed in. Ryan Von Tassel took the pool with a 11lb Blue. Still no Stripers caught I am hoping next weekend we start to see some. Last year it was Oct 11 when we started to see some Stripers. Once they show we will be fishing 7 days a week. We didn't make it out today,we are scheduled to fish tomorrow Columbus day but the weather doesn't look good. We will see what happens. See you soon, Capt. Rob
