SEA HUNTER 11-7 STRIPER REPORT

We started out very close to home lots of bird life and we picked away mostly shorts but we did get a keeper. When that dried up I went back to the area where we had our best fishing but they were not around. I tried to fish in some bunker pods looking for the big ones but there were no takers. We bounced around and found some more bird life but we could only manage two more keepers and some shorts. All in all not a good day. High hook was between eight and ten and there were a few who couldn't catch any. When you come down try to bring a spinning reel or something you can cast. Some days it doesn't matter you can drop straight down and catch them but some days the guys who can cast away from the boat do better especially in shallow water.The shads out fished the jigs today. Again it was a free for all out there with all the boats running into the birds.Hopefully tomorrow with some NW wind the fish will stay up longer and be easier for us to catch.
