Not much exciting news on the Fluke front, There are a few fish around but its slow. Today we had a pleasant surprise when the stripers came around the boat and we caught some nice big fish on the shads. Don't put your Striper gear away yet. Bring a shad or two with you because if I see the Stripers on top I will give it a try. See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER SATURDAY 5-25 FLUKE REPORT
We had pretty good conditions today and we could get a better evaluation of the Fluke fishing. The way it looks is some areas are holding a few fish while others are not ready yet. The water is still a little cold and its typical early season Fluke fishing. One thing for sure is you must fish, put some effort into it. If you sit or stand there and hold your rod still your chances are not good. You must constantly move that bait up and down to get the hits. The fish are cold and a little sluggish. Tomorrow looks like a beautiful day and hopefully we will see you, If not enjoy the long weekend. See you soon, Capt.. Rob

SEA HUNTER 5-24 FIRST DAY OF FLUKE SEASON
Today was not really a good barometer for the fluke fishing. The marine forecast was for NW winds with gusts to 25, well they were way off we had gusts up to 40. We were very restricted in the areas we could fish. We ended up with a handful of keepers and a few handfuls of shorts. I think the highlight of the day is when we had two big humpback whales around the boat putting on a nice show eating mouthfuls of bunker. It looks like the wind is going to back off tonight and we should be able to fish more areas tomorrow. If we don't see you over this long weekend enjoy it its going to be a beauty.
See you soon, Capt. Rob.

SEA HUNTER MONDAY 5-20-19 REPORT
First off with the lack of good reports comes lack of people. We had just enough to make it out there today and I thought we would catch them. We saw them but they wouldn't bite again. We had a couple shorts and Blues but that was it.. The boats trolling are catching. but we just watch. This last full moon has gotten them screwy. We are going to make the switch to Fluke on Friday. Our Fluke schedule will be from 8:00 am till 2:00 pm. We are not going to fish Tuesday and Wednesday this week but will give the Stripers a last shot on Thursday t ,hopefully by then things will be straightened out. So no fishing Tuesday and Wednesday and last call for Stripers on Thursday. I hope to get some afternoon trips for the big bass in June.
See you soon, Capt., Rob

SEA HUNTER SATURDAY 5-18 STRIPER REPORT
Well we got one Striper to bite today. There are plenty of Stripers out there but we cant get them to eat. We have fresh bunker, fresh clams and the only boats catching are the ones trolling them. Very frustrating, especially with the readings. I was excited a few times figuring we were going to get them good and it didn't happen. We will be back out there tomorrow, Capt. Rob

It couldn't have been much worse today. One short striper we boated one bluefish and lost a few more. The worst part is every stop we made there were fish on the fish finder Thank god today is over, its history and tomorrow is a brand new day. And as you can tell by my reports you never know from day to day, one day bad the next could be great. The weekend weather looks good for a change. Ill see you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER SATURDAY 5-11 STRIPER REPORT
To make a long day and a long story short, the stripers were not hungry today. We tried all the tactics but came up short. The worst day so far this spring. One keeper and a few shorts. It looks like tomorrow, Mothers day we will be off. Monday doesn't look good as of now but I will post tomorrow around 6:15pm and make my decision. Enjoy mothers Day and ill see you next week, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER FRIDAY 5-10 STRIPER REPORT
The ocean was still a little riled up today so we stayed in the calm sheltered waters of the bay. we had good action most of the day with the short Stripers but only a few keepers hit the deck. Tomorrow the ocean should be calmed down so we will look there first for some fish. As of today, Sunday and Mondays weather doesn't look good so we may not be fishing, They are calling for Northeast winds with gusts to 30. I will keep you updated but just wanted to give you a heads up.
See you soon, Capt.. Rob

SEA HUNTER THURSDAY 5-9 STRIPER REPORT
First off the weathermen were way off in the wind prediction. We started out where we were yesterday and caught a couple fish. The ocean was pretty nasty and it was getting worse so we headed for calmer waters. We tried jigging for a bit but it wasn't paying off. I went looking for something good to anchor on and try a little bait fishing. The bite started pretty quick with the shorts then a few keepers started to show up. All in all a good day with shorts and keepers, We will be back out there tomorrow . See you soon, Capt. Rob
