SEA HUNTER 11-28 STRIPER REPORT
A slow day for us today. I did lots of looking around and there were plenty of small patches of birds with fish swirling on top but we had a hard time catching them. The birds would pop up for a minute and then sit. I could see the fish swirling and even read them on the fish finder at times. I could not find any bunker with fish in them like i did yesterday. we ended up with three Stripers and a handful of big Blues. We will be off for the next couple days and we will see what happens after this weather front passes. Thanks for checking in, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 11-27 STRIPER REPORT
A very small crowed for a Sunday.I found many small patches of fish today under working birds but we only managed a couple slot Stripers a short and a Blue. After a little more searching I found some bunker pods with fish exploding in them It turned out to be some nice Stripers and big blues mixed. Lots of fun fishing in the bunker. My daughter decided to take a ride today and showed her skills, she managed a nice striper and a few big blues on a white shad. A few
guys caught some stripers on live bunker also along with the shads.
Tomorrow the weather looks good. Tuesday and Wednesdays weather does
not. It looks like we will have a couple days off. Thanks for checking

SEA HUNTER 11-26 STRIPER REPORT
I always report ,good or bad. Today was bad the Stripers never revealed themselves. Very little bird life today. I found one big area of birds with not a boat on them. I had readings on the fish finder and fish splashing on top it looked very good but we didn't catch them. The best fishing we had was in the schools of bunker but they were mostly Blues. We landed one keeper Striper today and one throwback and 12-15 blues.Very frustrating day! Hopefully tomorrow we get some revenge. The weather is calling for NW winds 15-20 that wind usually gets them eating.Today was a north wind and that wind has not been favorable. We will see. Like I always say every day is different and you never know. Thanks for checking in, Capt. Rob. Here is a pic of the lone Striper

HAPPY THANKSGIVING 11-24 STRIPER REPORT
Today looked like it was going to be a massacre. When i first got to the grounds there were birds everywhere, We made our first stop and caught two Stripers.I headed to another big area of birds and we caught three. I kept bouncing around from patch to patch of fish. At times the readings on the fish finder were so good I thought the whole boat would hook up and we would catch one...Some drifts we would catch 2-4 Stripers with some big blues mixed in and other drifts a few Stripers with no blues..We ended up keeping 23 Stripers. There were some shorts that were tossed back and we had 15-20 big Blues. I will give the day an okay. Not good but not bad. There are certainly lots of Stripers around but they eat when they want to eat. Enjoy your day today and hopefully we will see you tomorrow. Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for checking in, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 11-23 STRIPERS
Not sure what to expect today after that three day hard winds. I was pleasantly surprised there were lots of fish around. They were not easy to catch at first but when the wind finally backed off they started to bite much better. The pool winner went 27.5 lbs. Plenty of slot fish. and we threw some slots back as we couldn't keep anymore There was a very good amount of Stripers over 28 inches we fell a couple short of a boat limit on those big boys. There were also some big blues in the mix. All in all a good day. Tomorrow we depart at 6:30 am for our annual Thanksgiving day trip. Friday we will be back on our regular schedule. If I don't see you tomorrow have a good Thanksgiving day. Here are a few pics. Thanks for checking in, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 11-21 STRIPER SCHEDULE UPDATE
It looks like another windy day tomorrow. The wind is suppose to back off tomorrow night and be 15-20 Wednesday morning and drop of as the day goes on. That sounds good to me! So tomorrow Tuesday The 22nd we will not be fishing but Wednesday we will be. Thursday Thanksgiving looks good they are talking isolated showers and not much wind. remember we depart at 6:30 am on Thursday we will be back at 11:30. We are jigging so leave the 3'0 and 4/0 reels home, Bring a spinning reel if you cant cast a conventional. If you don't have one we have them on board. The White or Bunker color Tsunamis paddle tail shads 6 or7 inch have been working well along with the 9 inch Tsunamis. Have some diamond jigs ready in case the Bluefish show up, they have a habit of tearing up the rubber shads. If you don't have them we have everything on the boat you will need. I will see you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 11-19 STRIPER REPORT
It was a very slow morning today. I hung in the area i have been fishing for the past couple days and putting together a catch of Stripers. I made a bunch of stops on the only readings i could locate on the fish finder with not much success. We caught a short and lost another fish. I was hoping on the tide change things would come together like it has been. It took lots of patience not to take off and start looking elsewhere but I knew everywhere else has been pretty dead. It was getting late I was just telling one of my friends on the radio I could have my first skunk of the season. Then finally a small patch of birds showed and we landed a few Stripers. after that died I looked with the binoculars and Holy Crap! There were birds everywhere. We stopped the boat and the rods were bending it wasn't Stripers but the Big Blues and they were everywhere in all the areas I made stops in earlier in the day. When they want to eat they eat and they were hungry. We stayed out a little late we had six Stripers and plenty of big blues. I t was a good ending to the day I would have liked to seen more Stripers but sometimes you cant get what you want. I don't know where all the Blues came from but they were there, We will not be fishing Sunday or Monday as it is gonna be extremely windy. I am not sure about Tuesday yet. I will post on Monday and let you know. Wednesday for sure looks good and Thursday is our annual Thanksgiving day trip we leave at 6:30 and return 11:30. Have a great weekend and I will see you next week. Thanks for checking in, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 11-18 STRIPER REPORT
The fishing was a little slower today. Still plenty of fish around they are just harder to catch. We were catching a few almost every stop till the small boats started to be a PITA. Its not easy! Boats doling 30-40 knots racing to the birds. Boats trolling in all directions. Its like a madhouse out there lots of times especially on a beautiful day like today. The fish today were a little smaller then yesterday. There were more slot size fish today 24-28 inches. We landed nine fish over 28 inches we kept a handful of slots and threw some back. We only had two big blues today. There is still loads of bait around. We have even been seeing whales in the bay the past few days eating the bunker that the Stripers are feeding on. We will see what tomorrow has in store for us. Sunday we will not be leaving the dock as they are forecasting very strong winds. I'm guessing Monday will also be cancelled. I will keep you posted on that. We have been fishing mostly Rubber shads and Tsunamis. White seems to be the color of choice. Bring a reel you can cast it definitely helps.I will see you tomorrow. Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for checking in, Capt. Rob
