If you want a shot at the big Blues this spring Wed and Thurs. will be our last couple trips for them.

SEA HUNTER 5-30 REPORT
Very good day again with the big Blues. No bait today we went rite to the jigs and had very good action all day. If you have a spinning reel bring it if you have trouble casting a conventional reel. We have had people bringing on big 4/0 Penn senater reels and I would have trouble fishing with them.We will be back at it tomorrow. See you then, Capt. Rob.

SEA HUNTER 5-25 REPORT
Finally got to use the jigs today. It was a big Bluefish beat down. There were some Stripers rolling on top but we didn't catch any it was big Blues for us. We are going to stick with it as long as there is a interest. I know many people don't like the taste of the Blues but they are a blast to catch. I was hoping to get down the beach and try live lining bunker for the Stripers but that i will have-to play by ear as the conditions have to be rite.

SEA HUNTER 5-23 REPORT
I'm finally back online after a week of no computer. Well after super fishing the past couple weeks this past Thursday and Friday it slowed up. Today it bounced back with good action.it was all big Blues but lots of fun! It sounds like some Stripers are making there way in with the Bunker schools but its not consistent yet but its a good sign. We will keep at it hopefully getting a few shots at the Stripers before we switch over to Fluke. From what I hear I am in no rush to switch over to Fluke yet. Be back at it tomorrow See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 5-12 REPORT
The Bluefish just keep coming. Ive been trying to stay away from the Blues the past couple days but there is no escape. Our whole bay is loaded with them. We did manage one nice Striper today. If your looking for action these big Blues will give you a hell of a fight and there are plenty of them.I am still hoping for some good Striper action.I know they are around it sounds like daybreak some boats are hitting them but them on the Bunker but its short lived then the Blues take over.We have been using fresh bunker since last Tuesday that's what we used and had that super day with the big fish.. Some boats are using clams but we have been catching just as many and most times more Stripers on the fresh bunker. And the Blues are hitting the clams just as hard as the bunker. I had a few calls for tomorrow its suppose to blow pretty good out of the North West around 30 knots. We will have good conditions for the first couple hours but after around 11:00 the conditions are gonna suck. My honest opinion if you can pick another day you should. We will be there tomorrow if you chose to go.

SEA HUNTER 5-8 REPORT
We started the day with a slow pick a couple Stripers and some Blues. We made a move found some marks on the fish finder dropped anchor and it was a Bluefish blitz with 8 to 12 lbers. After about a hour of that chaos and not seeing a Striper it was time to move on. I found some more marks and it was a nice steady bite of Blues but only one more Striper hit the deck. All in all a very good day of fishing but only a few nice size Stripers. We be at it again tomorrow. See you then, Capt. Rob
Happy Birthday Miguel who landed the first Striper of the day |

SEA HUNTER 5-5 STRIPER REPORT WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES!!!!!!!!
All I can say if you were turned off by yesterdays report and decided not to come today because of it,You screwed up.There is only one thing I can tell you for sure about fishing and that is, Every day is new day and you never know whats going to happen. So if you want to go fishing just go don't worry what happened yesterday. With that said the new regulations are in affect. One Striper 28 to 43 inches and one 43 or bigger. And we did have fish today 43 or bigger. The pool winner was Paul Schukallo. his fish went just over 33 lbs. there were many big Stripers in the 20 plus pound range today and also big Blues in the mix to keep everyone busy. Here are some pics.

We did lots of searching today for the Stripers. I thought I found them with plenty of good marks in one area I made two drops on them but they didn't want to eat. we looked over a few other areas but there was not much going on anywhere today. So far its been a crazy spring Striper run. Hopefully as we get off this full moon things will improve. We will be back at it tomorrow.
