SEA HUNTER 10-26 STRIPER REPORT AND WE WILL NOT BE FISHING TOMORROW 10-26

What a difference a day makes. The Stripers did not cooperate today. headed back to the same area plenty of bait still there but no fish. Headed offshore some patches of birds working fish busting on top good marks on the fish finder but we could only catch a odd fish. The past couple days the Stripers were feeding on peanut bunker, but today they were feeding on small rain fish and that always makes them hard to catch. I ended up going south and catching some Blues, but no Stripers. Headed back to the north hoping the Stripers would turn up at the change of tide but not much luck. A few small patches of fish came up but only one more Striper and some Blues. We will not be fishing tomorrow as I have the opportunity to pull my boat out of the water until this storm passes. I cannot keep it in the harbor as it wont be safe. The way it looks now we will not be fishing until the end of next week. Hopefully it is not as bad as they are making it out to be. I will keep you posted as to when we will be back in action. Good luck and be safe,     Thanks, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-25 ANOTHER BANNER DAY STRIPERS TO 29 LBS

Thanks to everyone who showed up today, I'm sure your arms are tired. For those who couldn't make it today, hopefully you can get out tomorrow. It was another very good day these pics only show some of the catch. No 40 pound Striper today but a 29lber a 28.5 lber and a 25 lber not too shabby. Yesterday only a few boats in the area and today there were many more. Word travels fast, lucky for us most were pretty good they were not driving threw the fish and spooking them. Hopefully we will do it again tomorrow. Try and make it down if you can because if the weather is good on Saturday it will be a madhouse out there with hundreds of boats and that wont help. See you tomorrow. Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-24 BOAT LIMIT FISH TO 40 lbs

What a day!!!!!!!!!! Here is some of the catch, Boat limit, Action all day. We went rite to the jigs today, it was the way I like it. Bent rods  with big Blues and Stripers from the start of the day till the end. We had all we could handle and we left them biting. I stayed in one area most of the day but I could see many areas of fish in different locations. Bill lankenau from Denville NJ took a 40 lb 48 inch Striper on a jig today. I'm hoping for the same tomorrow. If you can get off and make it down tomorrow I wouldn't wait this was too good to pass up. See you tomorrow, Capt, Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-23 STRIPER REPORT

Thought it was going to be big today. Received a call of birds and fish on top. Headed to the area and wouldn't you know it when we got there everything was gone. We made a few stops and caught a few shorts and some big Blues.stayed in the are waiting for the current to get going and the fish did eventually start showing up swirling on top. good marks on the fish finder but they just wouldn't bite. Very frustrating. We ended up with three keepers a handful of shorts and some big Blues. The pool winner was a nice fish 24.6 lbs caught by Richie Mastrignni from west NY. Hopefully tomorrow I will have a bunch of pics to post.  See you then, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-21 STRIPER REPORT

Tried to get back in the same spot as yesterday but could only get close to it, too many boats in the area today. The Internet is great for getting the fishing info out quick, but unfortunately its a double edge sword . We dropped anchor and only caught a few shorts. I had a bad feeling it was not going to be good with the cam baits today and the eeling conditions were no good either. I picked up anchor and moved away from the fleet, looked around for another spot to drop anchor but the fish finder was barren. Ended up looking for birds to try some jigging. We had a couple good shots at the big Blues to bend the rods, but only one keeper Striper was caught . I'm hopeful that tomorrow the Stripers will be back on the feed. See you then, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER STRIPER REPORT 10-20

With the conditions today we went rite to the clam baits. It was a good move. anchored up it took about ten minuets and the Stripers started to eat. We had a couple hours by ourselves a few times we had three four on at a time, and then we were surrounded. We still kept catching but not as good. For a Saturday with lots of boat traffic we did good. A new body of fish moved in with lots of shorts. I bet we had around a hundred shorts today. There were still enough keepers mixed in. This is some of the catch. The biggest was 19.5 lbs Mike Mad Dog Stibley from Fairlawn NJ. See you tomorrow, Capt. Rob
