SEA HUNTER STRIPERS 4-28
Another slow day, we caught our first Bluefish of the year. A couple keeper bass and some shorts.Tomorrows weather doesn't look good NE wind gusts to 25 it should make Thursday a good day for the Stripers.
My deckhand Richie is a very good at working the deck ,but he wouldn't make it as a photographer.

SEA HUNTER 4-25 STRIPER REPORT
A better day today despite all the boat traffic. If you are a small boat owner and your reading this report you must have consideration for other boats. You shouldn't go and anchor in someones chum slick or 50 feet off their side because you see they are catching fish. And please don't drive through the chum slick to see what is being caught especially full speed you will shut the bite down. Today we just got the fish started and this boat that is called HOOKED UP did exactly that ,30 feet off my stern and it took another 20 minuets to get the fish started again. anyway we ended with 9 keepers, and my counts are accurate i don't inflate my fishing reports and we picked at the shorts most of the day.

SEA HUNTER STRIPER REPORT 4-18-09
Weather was great, people were great. When the fish are biting and everyone is catching fish a fishing boat captain is one of the greatest jobs going. Unfortunately today was not one of those days. It was a very frustrating day and it just drained the life out of me today. I tried very hard but just couldn't get things going. We caught a couple to a few shorts everywhere we went but that was it. Tomorrow is another day,and i will give it hell again.

SEA HUNTER STRIPER REPORT 4-17-09
Beautiful day on the water today. We had a nice pick of fish all day,at times it looked like the stripers were really gonna come strong you would get two or three on at once then they would back off for a few minuets. All in all a good day, seven that beat the 28 inch mark, and many that were just short of it.

SEA HUNTER 4-14 STRIPERS
Today we had good conditions in the morning and it was a morning bite. Once the current slowed up so did the fishing. We boated a few keepers and lost a couple just short of the boat. One fellow had a nice one close to the boat and had a cigarette in his mouth and he pulled back on the rod and the line hit the cigarette and popped the line, you gotta hate when that happens. A good number of shorts were released to fight another day. the next couple days doesnt look good hard NE winds. Friday will probobly be our next shot at the Bass.

SEA HUNTER 4-11 STRIPER REPORT
So much for morning showers, a steady rain all day. Raw was probably the best way to describe the day. We started the Day with good readings on the fishfinder, then we anchored up and caught fish rite away. Good fishing for the first hour and a half, then the slack water came and it slowed up, so I waited until the outgoing tide started moving , figuring that they would start eating again. It looked like the bite was going to start. We had three fish on. and then another two. After that it died. We made a move and found more good readings, but only caught one fish. I tried another area, but it was no good. They didn't want to bite on the outgoing water today. We boated one keeper and lost another close to the boat. A good number of shorts were thrown back. This was our slowest trip so far, but for April 11th it wasn't that bad. The conditions with the NE wind and outgoing tide defiantly didn't help. We will not be fishing tomorrow Easter Sunday but will resume our seven day a week schedule on Monday the 13th. Happy Easter to everyone. Thanks for checking in.
