SEA HUNTER 5-31

Surprised a very light crowd for such a nice day. we had a few good shots of Blues in the morning on the jigs, I tried a couple bass drops with the bait. One drop was barren the other had some Blues. Made one last move and had another good shot of Blues before we came in. All in all a good day on the water with plenty of fish.  We will be back out there tomorrow.

SEA HUNTER 5-29 REPORT

All in all it was a good day. Not the crazy fishing we were having. It was just nice fishing. The fish never came up to the surface with birds over them it was all readings on the fish finder. We had a few good shots on the jigs where most everyone was hooked up. but most of the day we picked away. there were no complaints thats for sure. We will try and stick with it till the Fluke fishing improves. They are calling for lots of rain tomorrow. we will be there trying to go out. I did have a few calls. SEA HUNTER 5-28 CATCHING REPORT

Te decks were bloody today my friends. we finally had a few people on the boat today. A nice group half the boat was rental rods. The first drift of the morning was a little off as most never did this kind of fishing before, but they made up for it on the second stop On the second drift all hell broke loose and the Blues were flying three of us couldn't keep up between gaffing and tying jigs. we did have a couple lulls in the action as we had to move to different areas, but when we were on them they bit very well. There was more then enough fish and I think everyone had a blast.We had four big  barrels full of fish plus our big bait box. We will try and do it again tomorrow. I hope you are there.

SEA HUNTER 5-27 CATCHING REPORT

I didn't think the fishing could get any better, but it may have today. On a beautiful Friday we only had 13 people that showed up. I scratch my head and wonder.The reports couldn't be any better This fishing has been fantastic the past couple weeks thats why I cant just stop and switch for Fluke just yet. Its loads of fun and everyone is having a great time pulling in these monster Blues. We will be back out there tomorrow and hopefully doing it again. Here are some pics from the last two days

SEA HUNTER 5-26 WE DID IT AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't even have to look for the fish today they found me. I left the dock and started heading back to the area we ended up yesterday. About 20 minutes into the ride the Blues erupted in front of the boat and all hell broke loose. It was nice to see a few young kids on the boat today who got to experience this type of fishing. Everyone had a blast. These were all the big Fish there was no swinging these fish over the rail. This kind of fishing cant last so you better get in on the action while you can No bait today it was diamond jigs all day. We will be back at it again tomorrow, Remember no white sneakers or shirts and don't wear your good pants its been bloody.

SEA HUNTER 5-25 IT DONT GET ANY BETTER!!!!!!!!!!!!

We fished the bait till the tied went slack then went to the jigs .What a blast! We even caught a few smaller ones today in the 6-7 lb range on the jigs, just perfect for swinging over the rail. I don't know how long it will last but they are here now  and have been for the last couple weeks. We will stick with the Blues it as long as the action is hot .. See you tomorrow

SEA HUNTER 5-24 ITS BLUEFISH TIME!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know what you people are waiting for. You have the whole summer to catch Fluke and its not Fluke time yet. But the Big Blues just keep coming. Do not miss out. Grab your medium and heavy rod and your boots cause its been bloody and get down here. Be ready for jigging and bait fishing and have a ball. The weather looks great the next few days I will see you on the boat.

SEA HUNTER 5-22

We had our charter today and targeted the Fluke. We hit all the usual early season spots  We had some drifts that produced some fish but none were repeatable. The pool winner went around 4 lbs. Tomorrow we will be back to catch the Blues and still hoping some Stripers make a appearance. I am not sure when we will be switching to Fluke. I will be sticking with the Blues as long as there is some interest. I will definitely stay with the Blues this week.and into the weekend. The Bluefishing has been to good to stop it now.

Another super day with the big blues. Jigging and bait.we are chartered tomorrow. We will be back to open boat on Monday fishing for the Blues and will stick with it for at least another week. You gotta get em while the getting is good,

SEA HUNTER 5-20 REPORT

We went to the jigs first thing today. No bird life but got a reading on the fish finder and all hell broke loose.We went over a hour with Richie and myself just gaffing fish non stop.We made a couple more drifts till the current got too fast and went and anchored up and picked for the rest of the day. We will be back out tomorrow for the Blues and hopefully some Stripers but no Stripers were  were caught today. we will stick with this fishing for at least another week till we go for the Fluke. You better get them now before its to late,  And don't forget we are chartered on Sunday.

SEA HUNTER 5-19 REPORT

Very good Blue fishing again today. we started out jigging then we went to the bait. Both produced very well. Tomorrows weather looks great! Come on down and have some fun.We are not switching to Fluke on Saturday we will be Blues and hopefully some Stripers.Its the day of the full moon so hopefully that will ignite the Stripers  We are chartered on Sunday 5-22

SEA HUNTER 5-18 REPORT

We started the morning with the bait and had a nice pick. I had gotten a report of fish working on top with a stripers in the mix. We hit them hard with the jigs but it was all big Blues. We played catch and release for a while then I hit some Striper spots but only Blues. The next couple days the weather looks nice and Saturday looks good except for some late afternoon showers. We are chartered on Sunday the 22nd. We will not be changing to Fluke on opening day we will stick with the blues and hope some Stripers start showing,

SEA HUNTER 5-17 REPORT

Another very good day with the big Blues. I made a couple moves to try and get some Stripers. But the big blues were everywhere. Light crowds and plenty of fish. With fishing this good I am not going to switch to Fluke right away. we have the whole summer to do that. If you are looking to bend the rods and have some fun now is the time! We may have some showers in the morning but we will be down the dock looking to get out.

SEA HUNTER 5-15 A WINDY BUT GOOG DAY OF FISHING

We had a nice shot of big Blues in the morning till the current went slack. When the tide changed it was pretty nasty and we ran for cover. We ended up finding calm water with some hungry Blues. No Stripers. Im not sure about tomorrow the wind is suppose to pick up more tonight and blow harder. You may want to give me a call and leave a message if you plan on coming down. If you can wait till Tuesday it sounds like a much nicer day.

SEA HUNTER FRIDAY THE 13th REPORT

It was good luck for the people on the boat today, but it was bad luck for the big Blues. Very good fishing today we caught the big Blues all day long. If there were any Stripers around they didn't stand a chance to get to the baits. We will be back at it tomorrow.

SEA HUNTER 5-12 REPORT

We actually did some jigging yesterday to start the day. We had some super fishing for awhile but we didn't get any Stripers. I tried to anchor and get the Stripers in a different area but it was more Blues. Today I went exploring to some areas that I haven't hit in a couple weeks. There were no Stripers but plenty of big Blues. If you like fishing you will have a blast.

SEA HUNTER 5-10, REPORT

Well we landed two big Stripers today and lost a couple. I think we would have had something going today but the little boats racing around ,anchoring and trolling through the chum slick doesn't help.    It aint easy! The biggest fish went 23 lbs Tomorrows weather looks great see you then.

We started out like it was going to be excellent. we had the Blues coming good first thing, then they backed off. Made a few moves but could only get a pick going. We did land one nice Striper almost 18 Lbs. We took a pic but I couldn't load it the computer said error.We will be back out tomorrow. see you then, Capt, Rob

SEA HUNTER 5-2 BACK ON LINE

My internet host had a problem with my site. Everything seems fine now so hopefully I can put up daily posts.There has not been much change except the weather turned bad and nobody's coming down.I am going to cancel tomorrows trip due to the forecast and try again on Wednesday. Better days are coming.
