SEA HUNTER HALLOWEEN STRIPER REPORT

We started the day close to home we had a handful of Keepers and some shorts. When that was over we went looking for greener pastures. What we found instead were Blue Pastures. A load of big Blues moved in. We tried to get away from them and find all Stripers but it was more Blues with a odd Striper mixed in. We will not be fishing over he weekend with the storm that's moving in but hopefully Monday we will be able to get out. Have a nice weekend and I will keep you posted Sunday night about Monday. See you soon, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-30 STRIPER REPORT

It was better then yesterday with the Stripers but not like Tuesday.  We saw plenty of fish braking water on top we had a few very good marks on the fish finder but we had a hard time hooking them today. A couple guys landed the limit a few guys had one. We also had a few shorts, but it was not good fishing. It sounded like a overall condition today. One thing for sure the Stripers are around and every day is different. You never know whats gonna happen from one day to the next that's the way fishing is especially Striper fishing. And you wont catch them if your not out trying. Hoping tomorrow will be a good one. I know a few guys called about the weekend the weather doesn't sound that good. I will wait till tomorrow to make my decision and see what the updated wind forecast is. I will report tomorrow.    Thanks for checking in, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-29 STRIPER REPORT IT WAS NOT LIKE YESTERDAY

Headed rite back to yesterdays spot where we had them on the Bunker. Still pods of Bunker in the area but very spread out. I tried different pods but couldn't get a touch. I figured it was a tide thing as I didn't get there till late morning yesterday and that's when all hell broke loose so I was gonna wait them out. As the morning wore on we could see the bunker starting to flare up so we knew there was some fish in them but we still couldn't catch. I ended up leaving and found some bird life but it was mostly blues, We did catch one 23 lb Striper out of it. On the way home i went back to the Bunker hoping for another shot but it didn't pan out. The Striper Gods were not smiling on me today. Tomorrow will be another adventure. Be ready for everything, Jigging. Eeling  Live bunker every day is different.  See you then, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-28 TODAY I CAN SAY IT WAS STRIPER TIME!!!!!!

We found a few fish early in the morning then nothing.I kept riding around and looking and looking and riding, Of course I had my biggest crowed of the fall on the boat today, and John Oswald from the ASBURY PARK PRESS was on the boat doing a story about Striper fishing. It was not a good day to fail. When it looked like all hope was lost and it was just going to be a scenic boat tour for the day, The Striper Gods smiled on me. We had a few super drifts on some big Stripers the biggest being 28.6 lbs and we left them biting. It turned into being a very good day with everyone happy and going home with Stripers we were just a little short of the boat limit. Here is a portion of the catch. Sorry about the bad photos we had a sub photographer take the pics.today It was very hectic on the way in. I'm gonna try and do it again tomorrow. Hopefully with less riding around.

SEA HUNTER 10-27 WHAT A DIFFERENCE A DAY MAKES!!!

After yesterdays hack I wasn't sure what to expect today so after thinking it over I went with my gut. It was either gonna be a scenic boat ride on a nice day with nothing to show for it except a big fuel bill, Or we were gonna bring home the Stripers!! All I can say is Luck was on my side today. It wasn't a banner day but it was a good bite and our best trip so far this fall. Luckily we were all alone when the bite took place cause if there were a few boats there I'm sure it would not have been as good it was a small school of big fish but they were all ours. Andrew Martin took the pool with a 23.8 lber and Patty Traficante had second place with a 23.2 lber. Here are some pics and I will try and do it again tomorrow. thanks for checking in, see you tomorrow, Capt. Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-26 NOT LIKE YESTERDAY

When we left the dock it was a nice day 15mph NW wind. Found some bird life stopped the boat first fish was a keeper Striper on the jig followed up by a few shorts. Made another stop caught about ten shorts then the wind came NW with gusts to 38 and that was that. All the life vanished. No problem we would go to plan B. We broke out the Eels and hit yesterdays area and nothing. I made a few moves then went back to yesterdays spot again figuring they would bite when the tide got rite but no dice. We ended up with just the one keeper for the day. What a disappointment I was ready for another good day we had three people from yesterday come back today thinking the same thing, but it didn't happen. Hopefully the wind backs off some for tomorrow and we can put a catch together. See you soon, Capt Rob

SEA HUNTER 10-25 STRIPER PICTURES FROM TODAY THE REPORT IS POSTED BELOW

SEA HUNTER 10-25 STRIPER REPORT

A nice day on the water. We did some traveling today. We hit a few areas of birds only to find plenty of bait with no Stripers or Blues in them. Finally found some Bunker with a few Stripers in them. We couldn't get the Stripers with jigs so we had to snag some bunker and live line them. We ended up catching a few nice Stripers out of them the biggest being 24 lbs. When that dried up we hit another area with some eels and that was the ticket. We made a few drifts and landed some nice keepers every drift and some shorts. It was good to be fishing again. Hopefully this is the start of many good days to come. Its going to be a bit windy tomorrow but we will see what happens. I am trying to upload the pics from today but the computer keeps freezing up when i try.I will try again later the total was 11 keepers. Thanks for checking in. See you soon, Capt. Rob

We are going to take a few days off and hope the bite starts this week sometime.I just cant bring you out there and catch nothing.  I will keep you posted.

SEA HUNTER 10-10 STRIPER REPORT

Well we made our first Striper trip of the fall today. Some of the guys who were suppose to come down never showed but it was such a nice day i figured I would go out and test the waters. It was not a banner day but its was a start. From the reports Ive been getting I didn't expect much but we did land three keepers and one short and some small Blues. Tomorrows weather doesn't sound very nice but we will be there and if the wind is not cranking  and  we get enough people we will go. Here are today's Stripers. See you soon, Capt. Rob
