SEA HUNTER 12-23 REPORT

We left the dock today with a hand full of guys. headed out into the bay Water temp was 33 degrees and dirty from all the runoff, as we rounded the hook the temp started to rise a little but not enough. I looked to the east were there was plenty of bird life last week but it was barren. I kinda thought that would be the case with the cold and dirty water but i didn't want to pass anything up. So i headed out to deeper water with my fingers crossed thinking that was my best shot. We past a tide line and the water looked much cleaner and it was up to 44 degrees unfortunately there was no bird life and the fish finder was blank. I met up with the Gambler at the Shrewsbury Rocks, and he was not having any luck either. we both looked around and then parted ways, he went back to the South and i went North. I had some live Eels on board and thought i would try the Channels as a last resort. The one place i thought we had chance the guys couldn't hold bottom with 16 ounces. I tried a few shallower spots but NG. It could have just been the day, with all the snow. wind, runoff and Cold temps from the past few days, I was going to try to fish till the New year but looking at the upcoming weather forecast and the day i had today I'm just going to call it a year. Thanks to everyone who fished with me. I hope you have a great holiday and a Happy New Year. And i will see you again in April for the Stripers. Thanks Again, Capt Rob

SEA HUNTER 12-18 STRIPERS

Started out like gangbusters today. First hour and a half two nets going. Most of the Stripers were just a half inch to one inch short, what a heart breaker but there were some bigger ones mixed in. As the current slowed so did the fishing, we went down to a pick then nothing. I headed back towards home to finish up the last half hour. I saw miles of birds the only problem was they were in New york waters and they closed the season on Dec, 15 and we already had keepers on board and I wasn't about to take a chance. If we didn't have any keepers we could have went there and played catch and release for the rest of the day. So i made two quick drifts in the channel and caught one that was a half in short so we called it a day. All in all a good day great weather, great people and Stripers. Looks like the weather is turning against us again and we probably wont be getting out till next week. Ill keep you posted.

SEA HUNTER 12-13 REPORT

We did alot of traveling today. Headed south and found some bird life we had three drifts and it was over. I looked around and couldn't find much so I headed back to the north N.G. I heard there were some nice fish caught today only a couple miles from where we had our shot of fish. Hopefully the weather report for tomorrow is correct and that hard south wind holds up till the afternoon and it should be a nice day.

SEA HUNTER12-9 STRIPER REPORT

The lack of participation has kept us dockside the past two days. The cold weather and the wind forecast is keeping everyone away. Looking at the forecast for next few days it looks like Saturday will be our next trip out. I'm sure there will still be plenty of Stripers around, we only have a few weeks left its a shame the weather is not cooperating.

SEA HUNTER STRIPER REPORT 12-6

Frustrating! That is what today was. I headed back to were i was yesterday. When i got there it looked like yesterday, birds everywhere. We had one good shot of fish then the tide went slack and all the birds vanished. Headed east and saw plenty of birds and plenty of fish on the fish finder but they wouldn't bite, we caught three when the whole boat should be hooked up. Stayed there for about one hour thinking they would turn on but they didn't. I left that area and looked around ,but on most spots we only caught a few fish. I ran way to the North and had a good shot of fish but it didn't last. It was one of those days. We ended up with three keepers some shorts and a few blues. Tomorrows weather is not good NW winds with gusts to 40 and very cold and we will not be going out.

SEA HUNTER STRIPERS 12-5 REPORT

Very good fishing today on the jigs we had nonstop action all day, bird life everywhere and i think we tried every patch we saw looking for the big Stripers. but it was the same in every spot most of the fish were 18 to 27 inches with the odd Striper being 28 inches or bigger. Not many Blues today . All in all a great day to be on the water. Tomorrows weather looks good .

SEA HUNTER 12-4 DIDNT FISH TODAY

A lack of people today kept us dockside today. The marine forecast of SW winds with gusts to 35 kept everyone home. Tomorrows weather looks good.

SEA HUNTER 12-3 STRIPER REPORT

A little disappointed in today's fishing. Headed to the rocks allot of boat traffic there today we caught one keeper Striper some shorts and blues but not the action i like to see. I waited for the tide change to see if things would improve but they didn't, so i headed to the north and found birds working and we picked the rest of the day and added two more keepers to the box.

SEA HUNTER 11-30 & 12-1

We didn't fish the past couple days due to weather conditions. Today looks like a great day inland, but you wouldn't want to be in the ocean today, its not nice. Tomorrow they are still calling for small craft warnings, so if you can wait till Wednesday i think you would be better off, as of now that looks like a better day.
